We are an independent Hong Kong based replicator founded in 1997. Starting with a simple idea to run a clean and law-binding factory with a group of passionate young people, we entered the market humbly with 2 CD lines and 1 silkscreen printer at a 9,000 sqft shopfloor. We were dedicated to build a responsible company to take care of the balanced interests of our customers, employees, society and shareholders. (see PrimeDisc values) Our efforts were endorsed by leading customers from IT, religious, education, publishing, advertising, fitness, movie and music segments. We have built up 2 optimized plants in Hong Kong and Guangzhou to serve the international markets in and out of China.
Riding along with the digital media’s evolution, we went through the product cycles and the turbulent economic environment in the past 20 years. With the strong faith in manufacturing and focus in our core business, PrimeDisc survived the competition to continue to produce CD, DVD and Blu-ray for content owners all over the world.
In 2014, our sales people and factory team members have collectively created a vision to build PrimeDisc as a lasting company to serve our industry. “produce lasting media for the world profitably and responsibly forever”
With this new vision, we made serious efforts to preserve the knowledge and experience gained over the past years. Apart from keeping our core sales and production people, we also took the opportunity to renew all our production equipment so that the quality and efficiency can be maintained.
In 2015, we see the resurgence of vinyl records and lack of supply in Asia. We are extending our product format to cover this classical media.
In 2020, after the optical disc market further consolidated, we strived successfully to remain as the lasting player in Asia who can offer an one stop solution for all tangible media. Our efforts to preserve the product quality , IP rights protection and business ethics pays off.

PrimeDisc, incorporated in Hong Kong in 1997 as a pre-recorded optical media manufacturing plant.
From a low-end undifferentiated VCD market player at inception stage, PrimeDisc started to focus on the high-end IT CD-Rom market in 1999.
PrimeDisc was awarded with ISO 9001 : 2000 accreditation in 2001, demonstrating its commitment to provide customers with fast turnaround, high quality and secured optical media solutions at competitive prices.
Recognizing the outsourcing trends of multinational companies, PrimeDisc established its foothold in the world factory by investing into Guangzhou Yong Tong Audio and Video Manufactory Limited in 2002.
PrimeDisc has been chosen by many reputable companies such as Microsoft and Apple in 2003 and 2004 as approved vendors, demonstrating the security and quality standards of its manufacturing services.
Capitalizing on the trend of more companies bundling and giving away CD / DVD as a means to add value and promote their products, PrimeDisc diversified its customer base to serve top tier publishing, toys, and promotion industry players in 2005.
PrimeDisc implements programmes to ensure human rights elements in personnel management, protect customers' intellectual properties, takes care of product safety and support environmental protection. PrimeDisc is awarded ICTI Care Process and ISO 14001 : 2004 accreditations in 2007 and 2008.
Leveraging on the highly competent and cost competitive manufacturing platforms built over the last 10 years, PrimeDisc's has extended our context to assemble an international sales team in 2009 to deliver our super-services to customers all over the world.
As a serious participant to embrace the technical advancement of the replication industry, PrimeDisc has built a state-of-art full fledged Blu-ray facilities in 2010.
Riding on the fast penetration of handheld devices, we launched "PrimeRip DVD in 2011." With PrimeRip DVD, our customers can now enable their consumers to transfer contents on a DVD to their handheld devices in just a few minutes. Consumers can now enjoy their beloved DVD at home and on the go without carrying a DVD player.
We have replaced all of our production lines with the latest Singulus model from Germany to improve our efficiency in 2012.
In order to comply with the highest security requirement from the home entertainment industry, PrimeDisc has participated in the Security Audit by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) in 2013.
In the midst of a fast declining optical disc industry, our people chose to stay on and developed a new vision “ produce lasting media for the world profitably and responsibly forever” in 2014.
